What are the mobile device requirements for Quick Heal Total Security?
To install Quick Heal Total Security your mobile device should have the following Versions and Resolutions of Android:
- Supported Versions of Android:
- 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.0, 4.0
Supported Resolutions of Android:
- Small screen - 240x320
- Normal screen - 320x480
- Large screen - 480x800
- Extra-large screen - 600x1024 (Newly added for tablet)
Important: Quick Heal Total Security does not support Dual SIM Android mobile devices
What is the difference between Lifetime Pack and Freedom Pack products?
Lifetime Pack: The product key of this pack is locked to the mobile device on which you register it for the first time. Activation of the product on any new mobile device using the same product key will not be successful.
Freedom Pack: With this pack you have freedom to re-activate and use the product on any supported Android mobile device but you have to use the same mobile number that you entered or used while registering the product for the first time. However, please ensure that before changing your mobile device you have deactivated and uninstalled the product from your previous mobile.

How to Install and activate Quick Heal Total Security?
Downloading and Installing Quick Heal Total Security for Android:
You can download the installer from the following website either from your device or from a PC. If you have downloaded the installer on your PC, copy the file to your Android device.

If you have installer (.apk) file on your mobile, you can easily install Quick Heal Total Security on your Android device.
To install Quick Heal Total Security, follow these steps:
- From the device, tap installer (.apk) file to continue with the installation.
- On the consent screen, tap Install. Quick Heal Total Security is installed and the Application installed screen is displayed with Open and Done buttons. Quick Heal icon is displayed in All apps.
- Tap the Quick Heal Total Security icon to open the application.
- On the License agreement screen, tap I Agree to go to the Activation screen.
Registration:
You need to register Quick Heal Total Security to use all the features, get the latest updates regularly, and the technical support facility. You can register Quick Heal Total Security in any of the following ways:
Registration through Internet:
If your Android mobile device is connected to the Internet, you can register Quick Heal Total Security in the following way:
- Tap Activate.
- On the Activate License screen, select Using Internet.
- Enter the 20-digit valid product key in the Enter Product Key text box.
- Tap Next.
- Enter relevant information in the User Name, Mobile Number, Email Address, Confirm Email Address text boxes, and then tap Submit.
- Quick Heal Total Security is registered successfully. The expiry date of your license is displayed.
Registration through SMS:
You are recommended to register Quick Heal Mobile Security through the Internet as it is a faster and easier process. In case your mobile device is not connected to the Internet, you can register your product through SMS in the following way:
- Tap Activate.
- On the Activate License screen, select Using SMS.
- Enter 20-digit valid product key in the Enter Product Key text box.
- Tap Next.
- A number appears in the Registration Centre field by default.
- Enter relevant information in the User Name, Email Address, Confirm Email Address text boxes and then tap Submit.
A notification about the registration status is displayed in the notification bar of the mobile.
Note: Charges incurred for registration through SMS will be as per your user plan.
Why do I need to register Quick Heal Total Security?
It is advisable to register Quick Heal Total Security so that you can use all the features. Only registered users get the latest updates regularly and can use the technical support facility.
Where can I find my License details?
You can find License details in the About screen of Quick Heal Total Security. To get the License details, follow these steps:
- Open Quick Heal Total Security.
- On the application Dashboard, tap the Menu button.
- Tap the Help button.
- Tap the About option.
When should I renew my copy?
Once the subscription of your copy of Quick Heal Total Security expires, you cannot use some key features such as Call Block, SMS Block, Web Security, get updates against the latest viruses, take or restore the backup of your data. It is advisable that you renew your copy on time to continue using these features without any interruption.
When should I reactivate my copy?
You can install and re-activate Quick Heal Total Security on your mobile device whenever you require in accordance with the following types of packs—
Quick Heal Total Security Lifetime Pack: Re-activation of Quick Heal Total Security Lifetime Pack using the same product key is possible only on the same mobile device.
Quick Heal Total Security Freedom Pack: Re-activation of Quick Heal Total Security Freedom Pack using the same product key is possible only with the same mobile number on any supported Android mobile device.
Reactivation through Internet
If your Android or BlackBerry mobile is connected to the Internet, then you can register Quick Heal Mobile Security in the following ways:
- Tap Activate.
- On the Activate License screen, select Using Internet.
- Enter the 20-digit valid product key in the Enter Product Key text box.
- Tap Next.
- Enter relevant information in the User Name, Mobile Number, Email Address, Confirm Email Address text boxes, and tap Submit.
Quick Heal Total Security is registered successfully. The expiry date of your license is displayed.

- Tap Activate.
- On the Activate License screen, select Using Internet.
- Enter the 20-digit valid product key in the Enter Product Key text box.

When should I deactivate my copy?
To uninstall Quick Heal Total Security from your device, you need to deactivate it first. You can reactivate it later easily, according to the type of pack you have purchased. You can deactivate Quick Heal Total Security in the following ways:
Deactivate through Internet
You can deactivate Quick Heal Total Security through Internet in the following way:
- On the application Dashboard, Tap on the device Menu button.(For Android only)
- Select Menu > Help.
- Tap on Deactivation option.
- On the When to deactivate Quick Heal Total Security screen, tap the Next button.
- Select Using Internet.
- Tap the Deactivate button.
Deactivate through SMS
You can deactivate Quick Heal Total Security through SMS in the following way:
- On the application Dashboard, tap the device Menu button.
- Select Menu > Help.
- Tap the Deactivation option.
- On the When to deactivate Quick Heal Total Security screen, tap Next.
- Select Using SMS.
- Tap on Deactivate button.
How to remove any virus from an already installed application?
You will have to initiate Full Scan on your Android mobile device to scan all the installed applications for any existing virus. You have an option to skip or uninstall the application in case any threat is found.
How can I run a manual scan for virus on my mobile device?
You can initiate a full scan or a Scan Memory Card to scan your mobile device for any threat. To scan your mobile device, follow these steps:
- On the application Dashboard, tap the Menu button.
- Select the Scan option from the Menu options.
- Tap Full Scan or Scan Memory Card to begin the scan.
- On completion of the scan, tap View Detail to see the report in case any threat is found. If no virus is found, No Threat Found message is displayed.
- In case any infection is found in an installed application, you need to take action to resolve it. Tap Resolve Now and select the application. Choose either Skip or Uninstall options.
What is Call Block?
The Call Block feature of Quick Heal Total Security allows you to block all unwanted calls from your Contacts or Non–Contacts. To block calls from any contacts or non-contacts, you need to add the contact or non-contact number to the black list. To block calls from all non-contacts, you need to simply enable the Block Calls from Non-Contacts option while you enable the Call Block feature.
Can I block calls from a number but receive SMS from the same?
Yes, you can block calls from a number but can get SMS from the same number. For that you will have to enable call block and enter the number in the black list. However, uncheck Add to SMS Black List option to continue receiving messages.
What does the Anti-Theft feature do?
The Anti-Theft feature of Quick Heal Total Security protects your mobile device when it is lost or stolen. It allows you to lock down the device making it useless for someone else from using it. It also helps you to Block phone on SIM change, remotely wipe data, and trace the device location.
What is a black list?
In case you want to block calls or SMS from certain numbers, you need to list them. This list is called black list. Calls or messages from these numbers will be blocked.
Can I block calls and SMS from any specific contact numbers?
Yes, you can block calls and SMS from any contact number. However, you need to enter the contacts in the black list.
Can I block calls and SMS from non-contacts?
Yes, you can block calls and SMS from non-contacts. To block calls and SMS from non-contacts, you need to simply enable the Block Calls from Non-Contacts option and Block SMS from Non-Contacts.
How can I block my mobile device remotely?
You can block your mobile device remotely in case it is lost or stolen. This will prevent any confidential data from being misused. Just send the following message from any mobile to your mobile device.

How to unblock my blocked mobile device?
If your mobile device gets blocked due to SIM change or remote lock, you can unblock it in the following way:
- On the mobile screen, tap Unblock.
- Enter the Secret Code in the Secret Code text box that you set while configuring Anti-Theft.
- Tap Submit.
How can I unblock my phone if I have forgotten my secret code?
Unblock Using Forgot Code option
- On the mobile screen, tap Unblock.
- Tap Forgot Code?
- Enter answers to the security questions.
- Tab Submit.
- To Change Secret Code screen appears.
- Enter New Secret Code and Confirm Secret Code.
- Tap Save.
Unblock using recovery code option
- On the mobile screen, tap Unblock.
- Tap Unlock using recovery code.
- Tap the link that appears to obtain recovery code.
- Enter the Product Key and Email Address that you used during activation.
- A recovery code is sent to your email ID. Enter the recovery code in the text box on the Unblock Phone screen.
- Tab Submit.
- Enter a new secret code in the Secret Code text box and re-enter the same secret code in the Confirm Secret Code text box to confirm.
- Tap Next.
- Select your questions and answers in the Choose Questions and Answers text boxes respectively.
- Tap Save.
How can I unblock my mobile device if I forget the answers to security questions?
In case you forget the answers to security questions, you can still unblock the device and reset the security questions in the following way:
- On the mobile screen, tap Unblock.
- Tap Forgot Code?
- Enter any invalid answers to the security questions. Tap Submit.
- Tap Forgot Answers?
- Tap the link that appears to obtain recovery code.
- Enter the Product Key and Email Address that you used during activation.
- Enter the recovery code in the text box on the Unblock Phone screen.
- Tap Submit.
- Enter a new secret code in the Secret Code text box and re-enter the same secret code in the Confirm Secret Code to confirm.
- Tap Next.
- Choose Questions and Answers.
- Tap Save.
What is the difference between automatic and manual backup?
Automatic backup helps you to take the backup of your data automatically at the schedule that you set in the Backup feature. With Manual backup, you can take the backup when you require it irrespective of whether Automatic Backup is turned ON or OFF.
What all data that I can take a backup of?
You can take the backup of contact numbers, calendar, and messages (SMS).
Can I take the backup locally on SD card?
No.
What is Browsing and Phishing protection?
Browsing Protection helps you block access to virus infected websites.– Phishing Protection helps you block fraudulent websites that try to steal your personal information. However, to enable these features you must turn them on.
How can I set a password to prevent others/children from accessing the parental control settings?
You can password-protect the settings and configurations of Quick Heal by turning Password Protection on. Password Protection ensures that your settings are protected from modification by any unauthorized users.
To enable Password Protection, follow these steps:
- Open Quick Heal Total Security.
- On the Quick Heal Total Security Dashboard, go to Menu > Settings.
- On Settings, tap General Settings.
- On General Settings, tap Password Protection.
- On the Configure Password screen, set your password and then tap Save. After setting credentials in the Password Protection, the ON/OFF button appears that you can set as you prefer.
How can I check the blocked sites that children or other users have accessed?
You can check this by reviewing the reports under Web Security.
- Open Quick Heal Total Security.
- On the Quick Heal Total Security Dashboard, go to Menu > Reports.
- On the Reports screen, tap Web Security.
How to uninstall Quick Heal Total Security?
Uninstalling Quick Heal Total Security exposes your mobile and your valuable data to virus threats. However, in case you need to remove Quick Heal Total Security, follow these ways:
When Uninstallation Protection is enabled
Through Deactivation
Note: We recommend you to uninstall through deactivation. This is applicable for licensed copy only.
- Go to Quick Heal Total Security.
- In the menu, tap Help.
- Tap the Deactivation button.
- The Anti-Theft block screen appears. Tap Unblock and type the secret code and then tap Go.
The When to deactivate Quick Heal Total Security screen appears.
- Tap Next. Select Using Internet if you are connected to the Internet, otherwise select Using SMS.
- Tap Deactivate.
The product is deactivated successfully.
- Tap OK.
The uninstall application screen appears.
- Tap OK.
Uninstallation is complete.
- Tap OK.
Through Device Settings
- Go to the device settings.
- Tap Security.
- On the Security screen, tap Device administrators.
- Uncheck the tick mark in front of Quick Heal Total Security.
- On the Device administrators screen, tap Deactivate.
The Anti-Theft block screen appears.
- Tap Unblock and type the secret code and then tap Go.
- On the confirmation screen for deactivating the Device Admin, tap OK. The Device Admin is deactivated.
- Now go to Manage applications in the device settings and tap Quick Heal Total Security.
- On the app info screen, tap Uninstall.
- On the confirmation screen for uninstalling the application, tap OK.
The uninstallation is finished.
- To close the screen, tap OK.
When Uninstallation Protection is not enabled
Through Deactivation
Note: We recommend you to uninstall through deactivation. This is applicable for licensed copy only.
- Go to Quick Heal Total Security.
- In the menu, tap Help.
- Tap the Deactivation button.
- If Anti-Theft is configured, the Anti-Theft block screen appears. Tap Unblock and type the secret code and then tap Go.
The When to deactivate Quick Heal Total Security screen appears, irrespective you have configured Anti-Theft or not.
- Tap Next. Select Using Internet if you are connected to the Internet, otherwise select Using SMS.
- Tap Deactivate.
The product is deactivated successfully.
- Tap OK.
"The uninstall application screen appears.
- Tap OK.
Uninstallation is complete.
- Tap OK.
Through Device Settings
- Go to the device settings.
- Tap Applications and then tap Manage applications.
- Tap Quick Heal Total Security.
- On the app info screen, tap Uninstall. If Anti-Theft is configured, the Anti-Theft block screen appears. Tap Unblock and type the secret code and then tap Go.
- On the confirmation screen for uninstalling the application, tap OK.
- To close the screen, tap OK.
What is the advantage of Uninstallation Protection?
To make Quick Heal more secure, you may add the application in the Device administrators so no unauthorized person can uninstall your application from your mobile. To make Quick Heal more secure, enable Uninstallation Protection while configuring Anti-Theft or by turning on Uninstallation Protection on the Anti-Theft settings screen.
